Outdoor Skating Rinks

Rinks are opened from 7 a.m. until dusk, weather permitting and baring any special event or group reservations. The Rules of Conduct for local community operated outdoor rinks from the City of Ottawa applies at all our outoor rinks.

Les patinoires sont ouvertes de 7h00 le matin jusqu’à la tombée du jour, et peuvent être parfois réquisitionnées pour des événements spéciaux. Nos patinoires sont soumises aux règles de conduite édictés par la Ville d’Ottawa.

To volunteer for rink maintenance, please contact us directly on this website or send an email to president@cardinalcreek.org.

Cardinal Creek Community Park Outdoor Ice Rink
The Cardinal Creek Community Park outdoor ice rink is located at 1825 Trim Rd. It has about 24 parking spots. Some years we’re able to build a puddle rink on the basketball court right next to the main rink.

The Cassia Park Outdoor Rink is located in Cassia Park, inside the Cassia Circle:

The CCCA has also prepared a graphical analysis of the outdoor rink situation in Ottawa as of December 2008.

The rinks will be opened once the ice base has been built. We ask that hockey players respect free skate by not monopolizing the ice surfaces.

We would like to thank our partners for making the outdoor rinks possible!

Residents are encouraged to donate gently used skates or new helmets to CAYFO’s “Skate 4 Kids” program; equipment donations can be dropped off at the Bob McQuarrie Recreation Complex, 1490 Youville Drive in Orléans.
