Public Meeting: 2000 Valin Street
La version française suit

November 26, 2007

Dear Resident,

I would like to invite you to a meeting to discuss the proposed zoning & site plan application for 2000 Valin Street.

Date:  Thursday, December 6, 2007
Location: South Fallingbrook Community Centre at 998 Valin
Time:  7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

The purpose of this meeting is to provide you with an update of the revised site plan, which has been submitted to the Planning Department.  The developer still wishes to continue with residential development on this site. There is a legal timeline with respect to processing an application, therefore this report will be going to Planning & Environment Committee on January 8th, 2008.

I look forward to seeing you at this meeting and should you require any further details, please do not hesitate to call me at 613-580-2489 or e-mail me at rob.jellett@ottawa.ca

Sincerely,

Rob Jellett

Madame, Monsieur,

Cordialement,

Rob Jellett

Cassia Outdoor Ice Rink
The Cassia Outdoor Ice Rink was a great success during winter of 2006 thanks to last years' volunteers! We are trying to expand our volunteer base in order to share the maintenance efforts as over 500 kids used this rink last year.

The City of Ottawa will be hosting its Annual Outdoor Ice Rink Meeting on December 4th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jim Durrel Recreation Centre - Ellwood (main) Hall, 1265 Walkley Road. This is an important meeting where outdoor ice rink issues will be discussed.

Lastly, our Community Association received a generous donation in kind from Richcraft Homes Ltd. They donated $700 worth of wood (good 1/2 inch plywood & 2 by 4s) to our Community Association so that we will have a new rink this year which should last for many years to come!

If you'd like to volunteer for the maintenance of the Cassia Ice Rink, please contact us via email at volunteer@cardinalcreek.org
