The City of Ottawa will be holding a public meeting Wednesday, September 5 from 7 to 9 pm in the Program Room - Ray Friel Centre (1585 Tenth Line Road) to address the Claridge Homes rezoning and site plan proposal at 2000 Valin Street - the south west corner of Valin Street and Trim Road (beside Lucky Fortune Restaurant, behind existing townhouses).
The zoning request would change the existing zoning from CCN - Commercial Convenience Neighbourhood to R5A-X2 Residential Apartment Low Density Expection 2 (3 storey condos). In total there are proposed eight 12-unit building with 144 parking spaces primarily located in between the buildings. Four of the buildings would front along Trim Road and the other four in behind. The main driving aisle would run through the middle of the the property between Valin Street and Trim Road.
The meeting was originally scheduled for July 18 and was postponed until the fall to unsure public participation.
