Cardinal Village is a new community being proposed for the lands generally located east of Cardinal Creek to Ted Kelly Lane in the west and south of Highway 174.

The community will be developed by Tamarack Homes and will eventually have a population of an estimated 13,000 persons.

This community is developed in proximity to the Cardinal Creek, an ecologically sensitive area zoned Environmentally Protected by the City of Ottawa, near the Karst, an area designated as Area of Natural and Scientific Interest by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

If you care about the beauty and the educational potential of the Karst and the Cardinal Creek area, you should attend this public open house and voice your opinion.

The Karst is located right at the Watters Road bridge and it could be threatened by urban expansion, whether it be increased truck traffic on the Watters Road corridor or other development supporting infrastructure built in proximity. We would lose a natural jewel if the Karst were to be altered or destroyed.
